Privacy Policy
This policy describes data that the MangaPlus Android app and website may process, why it is used, and the services involved in account and sync features.
1. Scope
This policy covers mangaplus.devs.surf and the MangaPlus Android app. Processing may change when features or providers change. External content sources and websites opened from the app are governed by their own policies.
2. Account and profile data
When you register by email, the app processes your email address and password through Firebase Authentication and creates a profile containing an account identifier, display name, username, country, date of birth, gender, account creation date, and email-verification status. The app does not store your password as plain text in its profile database; Firebase Authentication manages credentials.
The profile may also contain a bio, profile image, favorites-sync preference, language and theme settings. With Google Sign-In, Firebase and Google process information needed for sign-in, such as the provider identifier, email, name and available profile image. The app also supports an anonymous guest session.
3. Library and usage data
Depending on the features you use, favorites, reading history and progress, user lists, reading statistics and account settings may be stored in Cloud Firestore under your account identifier for synchronization. Downloads and temporary files are stored locally on the device when offline features are used.
Content sources may receive network requests needed to retrieve titles and chapters. Their data practices vary and are not controlled by MangaPlus.
4. Third-party services and diagnostics
The app uses Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore. The project also includes Firebase Storage, Analytics, Crashlytics and Cloud Messaging libraries, as well as Google Sign-In. These services may process technical data, device identifiers, crash reports or notification tokens when the related features are enabled. Not all activation and retention settings in Firebase have been verified; this description will be updated after review.
The app may request Android permissions for features such as notifications or choosing a profile image. Manage permissions in Android settings. The website loads fonts from Google Fonts; the font provider may receive an IP address and normal connection data when a font is requested.
5. Storage and retention
Account and synchronized data remain available while the account and service are active, subject to Firebase configuration and Google retention policies. Local files remain on the device until removed by the app or Android behavior when the app is uninstalled. The project does not specify a single retention schedule for backups or diagnostics.
6. Your choices and deletion requests
You can manage some profile, favorites and account settings in the app. A complete self-service process to delete all account data from every service has not been verified, so we do not currently promise automatic comprehensive deletion. Once MangaPlus has an official support channel, use it to request access, correction or deletion. Include your username; never send your password or verification code.
7. Security
Connections to Firebase and content sources use HTTPS where supported by the other party. Firebase manages passwords and email-action codes. Do not share verification or password-reset links; they contain temporary codes intended for one-time use.
8. Children and changes
Account registration asks for a date of birth. This policy has not yet been reviewed against age requirements in every country. Do not provide a child's data without guardian permission where required by law. We will show the effective date here when this policy is updated.
9. Contact
An official support email or public privacy-request channel has not yet been designated. See the Contact page; approved contact details will be added once supplied by the project owner.
